North Haven's own Max Cobb, President of USA Biathlon team, has helped make the US team competitive in an era of performance-enhancing drugs and big money. This year's breakthrough of a gold medal, followed by a silver medal at the 2017 World Championships was a first for the USA and has opened the eyes of Europeans who have traditionally dominated the sport.
