This Week’s Special Events and Notes
• Part-time job available at Waterman’s Community Center: Early Bird Coffee Shop Opener – 3 days a week, from 6:45-7:45 or 8:45am. All applicants must be hard working, conscientious and have a passion to see Waterman’s Community Center thrive. For details, please contact Christie Hallowell, 867-2100
• Frog and Toad Rehearsals Monday – Thursday, 5-6:30pm- See more specific schedule below.
•Afterschool Grades K-4 Monday, October 26, 3:15-4:30pm- Pumpkin Carving!!! This week we will each get our own pumpkin to carve, and then we will season and bake the seeds for us to eat.
• Senior Coffee Thursday, October 29 at 9:00am
• SHOUT Afterschool Grades 5 & 6 Thursday, October 15 3:15-4:30pm This week we will start the cartooning section of our journalism unit and make comic strips to go in a section of our spoof newspaper.
• High School Night Grades 9-12 Friday, October 30 6:00-8:00pm Come out the night before Halloween to eat, play games, and watch the classic thriller movie of your choice. Movie and food selection votes are being counted and will be emailed to you soon, so stay posted!
• Annual Halloween Party Saturday, October 31 1:00-3:00pm Come down to Waterman’s to play Halloween games, eat some treats, and have a ghoulish time! Don’t forget to wear your costume! Fun for the whole family! All ages welcome.
• Saturday Night Movie: The Shining Saturday, October 31, 7:30pm On the wagon and out of lucrative work thanks to his alcoholism and family troubles, aspiring novelist Jack Torrance (Jack Nicholson) accepts a position as the off-season custodian at an elegant but eerie hotel so he can write undisturbed. But shortly after Jack, his wife (Shelley Duvall) and his young son (Danny Lloyd) settle in, the ominous hotel begins to wield its sinister power in this chilling horror classic helmed by Stanley Kubrick. Rated R.
• TEEN NIGHT Grades 6-8 Sunday, November 1, 6:00-8:00pm Movie, ping-pong, and pizza! Bring your friends!
