• SHOUT After School Program Thursday, October 16 3:15-4:30pm for Grades 5/6 - In this next section of Shout we will hit the streets with out digital cameras in hand. We will explore different locations on North Haven while learning how better to use the settings on our cameras. At the end of the session we will have a slide show of our work to take home and share with family and friends.

• Community Potluck Dinner Thursday, October 16, 6:30pm Chowders and breads theme with Mic Campbell as the guest chef.

• Saturday Night Movie: Mary Poppins  My Favorite Movie presented by Mallory and Stephanie Brown Saturday, October 18, 7:30pm Rated G, Julie Andrews made her screen debut and won an Oscar for her portrayal of the "practically perfect" nanny who revolutionizes the prim and proper Banks family. Dick van Dyke's unforgettable rendition of "Chim Chim Cheree" won an Oscar for best song (he's also great in the dual role of chimney sweep Bert and crotchety bank chairman Mr. Dawes Sr.), and Richard and Roger Sherman netted an Oscar for best score. It's supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!

• Sunday Afternoon Movie, Young@Heart October 19, 2:00pm Rated PG Coldplay, the Clash and Jimi Hendrix will never sound the same once you've heard the Young@Heart chorus, a group of Massachusetts senior citizens who thrill audiences worldwide with their unusual – and unusually poignant – covers of rock songs. Stephen Walker's humane and heartwarming documentary, which premiered at Sundance in 2008, follows the elderly ensemble as they prepare their new show.

• Open House for grades 6 & up Sunday, October 19, 6:00-8:00 – Pizza and games. Please bring a movie, if you’d like, to watch with friends.
