• Part-time job available at Waterman’s Community Center: Early Bird Coffee Shop Opener – 3 days a week, from 6:45-7:45 or 8:45am. All applicants must be hard working, conscientious and have a passion to see Waterman’s Community Center thrive. Application Deadlines: October 16, 2009. • Laugh & Learn Preschool: Sea Stars Tuesday – Thursday, 8:00am-12:00pm



• Senior Luncheon Monday, October 5 at 12:00noon
 

• Afterschool Grades K-4 Monday, October 5, 3:15-4:30pm- Ames Knob Climb Binoculars in hand, we will hike up Ames Knob to scope out North Haven from a different view. ***We will transport students to Ames Knob, but they should be picked up at the bottom of the Knob at 4:30pm.


• Fall Production Frog and Toad Rehearsals are underway Tuesday and Wednesday this week. Check rehearsal schedule for your call times.



• Community Potluck and Circus Ship Presentation with Chris Van Dusen Monday, October 5, 6:00pm- A Camden native and internationally recognized children’s book author and illustrator has just released a new young-audience book based on the sinking of the steamship Royal Tar off North Haven in 1839. North Haven is his first stop on his tour of ten islands and Waterman’s will help celebrate this event with a potluck and presentation on the history and research that went into the creation of such an elaborate story. Books will be for sale, with a signing to follow the presentation.

• SHOUT Afterschool Grades 5 & 6 Thursday, October 8  3:15-4:30pm This week we will finish writing articles and edit them with other SHOUT members for our spoof newspaper then we will go up to the playground to try out some new team building games.



• Laugh & Learn Preschool: Little Urchins Friday, October 9  9:00am-12:00pm Ages 18 months to 3 years



• Saturday Night Movie: Duplicity Saturday, October 10, 7:30pm Julia Roberts and Clive Owen Co-star in this curveball-throwing thriller as a pair of romantically involved corporate operatives who are entangled in a bitter rivalry between two mammoth pharmaceutical companies. Paul Giamatti convincingly round out the heavyweight cast as warring big pharmaceutical CEOs in this intriguing espionage effort from writer-director Tony Gilroy (Michael Clayton). Rated PG-13.



• Open House Grades 6-8 Sunday, October 11, 6:00-8:00pm Movie, ping-pong, and pizza! Bring your friends!
