This Week’s Special Events and Notes 
• Afterschool: Outside games with Jessie Davisson, Monday, October 27, 3:15-4:30pm Come play at the Ballfield with friends.

•  Craft Night Monday, October 27 7:30-9:00 Every Monday evening take some time to work on a project and visit with friends.

•  The World Food Workshop, Presentation by Holly Noonan Monday, October 27, 7:00pm – 9:00pm This nutrition workshop illuminates our current food trends by placing them in the international context. A lively slide show will focus on a variety of issues such as: What oils do families use for cooking and how much meat do they eat? This workshop also introduces some exotic food recipes and tells where to get the ingredients locally. here will be a discussion session for personal nutrition related question after the slide show. 

•  High School Fall Expedition Presentation Wednesday, October 29, 6:30pm

• Senior Coffee Hour Thursday, October 30, 9:00am All welcome! 

• SHOUT After School Program Thursday, October 30 3:15-4:30pm for Grades 5/6 - In this next section of Shout we will to a new location with our digital cameras in hand. 

• Come SING in the Community Chorus with Dave and Courtney, Thursday, October 30, 7:00-8:30  All voice types and abilities invited to rehearse a holiday season choir to perform on December 18.  Please email liz@watermans.org if you are interested - we need to know if we will have enough voices to make this happen.  Songs from around the world for different winter holidays will be learned! Great fun making music together.


• Annual Halloween Costume Party Friday, October 31, 1:30pm  Ghoulish games, snacks and costumes!

•  Saturday Night Movie: Leatherheads November 1, 7:30pm Hard-nosed sports reporter Lexie Littleton (Oscar winner Renée Zellweger) finds herself at the center of an acute 1920s love triangle when an aging football hero (Oscar winner George Clooney) and a rising college star (John Krasinski of "The Office") go head to head to compete for her affections. Clooney also writes and directs this romantic comedy with vintage flair, set at the dawn of professional football history.

• Open House for grades 6 & up Sunday, November 3, 6:00-8:00 – Pizza, games and a movie.

• Who Loves Chocolate! Laugh & Learn Preschool  parent’s are now selling an assortment of yummy chocolate. Be sure to get you order in.

• Are you interested in receiving your Masters License or Able Bodied Seaman Certificate? We are surveying interest in the community to coordinate another course this winter and/or spring. Please call Liz Lovell if you are interested or would like to know more details, 867-2100.
